some neat rocks

I needed a distraction today so I took some pic of my porch's neat rocks.
I found most to all of these here in Cen. Tex.

LOL Those are some wild ones. I pick 'em up too if they're strange enough. That 4 th pic in first post looks like a petrified turtle....thats crazy. The last looks like pet. wood....is it ?

My front porch is loaded with fossil rocks.[and just crazy looking ones] sad we can't pick up the gorgeous glitter and sparkle.

That last pic you got there is one of the many types of "oysters" found in Texas, Llymatogyra arietina.

It looks to be one of the typical types that marks a particular deposit:

Wa****a division of the Del Rio formation.


Bone2stone

You got some neat "Sex Stones" there.
The Phymosoma Sea urchins are not a shabby find either.
Most are Calcite and quartz .
