Stamp Cach !!!!! Found Today Jackpot !!!

When i moved into my house about 12 years ago I found a very old book of stamps in and old box. I completley forgot about it. Came across it again lastnight, a few fell out. no big deal there must be thousand from all over the world. it is seemingly cool but just not my thing. I took a few pics of the ones that fell out. thee are literally thoussands upon more. Are these things worth anything? like if i wanted to trade some for arrowheads would this stuff be better than just flakes (my conversion terminology) Do you guys that are familiaar with stamps see any potential and theses are definately not the oldest. like I said just fell out. Please feedback

I looked a few up on internet to find a mixed assortment of rare and not so rare. some are worth a qauter and some are like 10 bucks even though they are mostly all used (really the only used ones are american for some reason). the shear number of them (even if they were worth a few cents a piece could pay of my wifes suv. any body know where maybe i could get some good honest feedback and maybe replace some of these babies with rocks or pay some bils? Stamps just dont ticle my fancy. maybe i should post individuall on ebay unless some one could put eyes on and honestly say what the 4" inch binder full is all about. I am kind of excited. Well really excited. Cause we are "BROKE", I am not trying to solict on here so if any one feels offended i would appreciate a recomednadtion on where to post. Thank....

I don't know a thing about Stamps, but you might try posting them on T-Net on their Stamp Forum and see what you can find out.

I was given my step father-in-law's massive stamp collection some years after he died. I had no interest in them, and told my mother in law to give them (or sell them) to somebody else. She said she didn't care, and I should just throw them in the dumpster if I didn't want them.

I hung on to them for some years, but after accumulating just too much stuff and downsizing to a smaller house I had to get rid of them. I thought I might get some good money for them as there were tens of thousands of them, old American stamps and all.

I think I got less than $200, and that was after I got offers and quotes from half a dozen different people. Stamp collecting was BIG some years ago, not any more.

Good luck.

I think you should take them to a stamp shop, but I've heard a lot of stories like this (huge collection of stamps all neatly curated and put in binders that aren't worth much.)

bottom fell out of stamp values

I have a small collection of stamps from my childhood, but I haven't done anything in stamps, for some 30 years. From what I've watched over the years, stamps have bottomed out for some reason, much like sports cards & beanie baby's? I've moved to coins, can't go wrong with silver & gold if you can afford it!
