John Deere Garden Tractors

Thought I would share another interest I have, John Deere Garden Tractors. I know some of you might think that these are just lawn mowers but these tractors are some serious workers. They are nothing like their modern counter parts. Hope you all enjoy the pics.

It is hard to say flintchip. The bottom one is probably my favorite though. It is the John Deere 430, the largest most powerful garden tractor ever built. 3 cylinder diesel, power steering, hydrostatic transmission, with hi and lo range, locking differential, front mid and rear PTO. It is a beast, but it just sips the fuel. With a 60" deck and 26" turning radius, plus the steering brakes it practically turns like a zero turn if you want to.

Never realized how much you could do with them,,,Cool hobby!

Kinda like a riding lawnmower meets the Gator meets a Bobcat...

How old are they? Very fascinating, thanks for sharing!

The snow pic with the chopped wood is my favorite...

Very Nice

Those are very nice. I think I like the 140 best. I love the older styling. I have a few "toys" as well but not quite the same. I have one JD 5200 diesel and two Caterpillar skid steers. Got to love moving dirt and doing stuff. Thanks for sharing!

Those tractors are a 1981 317, 1977 214, 1965 110, 1972 140, and 1985 430. There are quite a few attachments that are for these tractors such as tillers, generators, log splitters, front blades, rear blades, brooms, sprayers, you name it. Very handy little machines. These are some pictures from some of our plow days. It's a real hoot!

Those are cool tractors. I have a X-475 Deere that can take on almost any dirt project I try.

Your 430 sounds really built to get stuff done. I wish the newer models were equiped like the 430.
