Knives

I don't know that I'd call myself a "collector" of knives but I've always really liked them and have aquired a few over the years. These are the majority of them with a few Case knives put away elsewhere. Nothing spectacular but I thought maybe it would spur others to show their favorites. The bottom left in each picture are auto openers. The largest of the bunch is from the early 80's when I was John J. Rambo in my mind, as a kid.

I like your Rambo knife, is it one of the originals? Bottom right second pic is a sweet lookinh blade, is that a Sibert?

Here's some of my collection. Fixed blades, folders, and neckers, and a few favorites.

Very nice Garza. No, it was just a survival knife of sorts. 440C stainless. The bottom right is a S&W I got last summer.

Lol, you've ruined him!

Here are a few other knives I have. The first is a German SA dagger from the 40's from when my maternal Grandfather was in WWII. It has an intersting history, to say the least. At about 15 inches it's quite the frog sticker.

The second is my paternal Great Grandfather's Belknap Primble pocket knife that was passed down to me.

The next two are just a couple Case knives in my "collection".

Have you guys ever heard of this form of trading pocket knives ? They just close their hand in a fist with the knife closed up in their hand. Find a willing trader. You hold out both your hands, one in a closed fist and one wide open ready to recieve. Then at the same time you drop your knife in the other persons hand. No takebacks, once it touches your hand it is yours. Some ole timers I hunt with still do it and sometimes with arrowheads. They said it use to be standard practice to tell what kind of a guy you were dealing with. I was just curious. I have heard and seen this done numerous times. didn't know if it was widespread or what. Thanks guys.
