A Treasure

I collect first edition books, mostly western history, when I can find them. I was real happy to find this treasure yesterday. Paid $2 for it at a thrift store. And, it is a first edition!

That is the first western book I ever purchased. The photo under the title on the cover was taken outside Inyokern only several miles from where I lived.
A great book.

That is wierd the first time I have ever heard of the name Emory Strong was this morning. Jim Bennet is having an online auction and the gentleman whose collection is being auctioned ( Charlie Mitchell I believe ) here is a what I read on it.

"Charlie enjoyed spending time viewing collections and discussing artifacts with others, including famous western collectors Emory Strong, author of “Stone Age on the Columbia River” and “Stone Age in the Great Basin”; and Charles Miles, author of “Indian and Eskimo Artifacts of North America"

Just thought that was wierd. Awesome book. What is the print date on there ?

Maumee - Not much value for a first Mystic Warriors anymore, unless it's signed by the author, and/or you have a personal need to own it. I sold one a few years ago for $25, and felt fortunate to get that. Gibby - This book was printed in 1969.
