My Dad gave me a decoy
We went out my folks home for supper last night and my Dad gave me one of his prized Evans decoys. This is the second decoy he has given me from his original spread of two and a half dozen working dekes that have been out of action for at least forty years. It has some pellet holes in it probably from killing cripples. I got a drake canvasback for a wedding present 35 years ago and now this beauty drake bluebill. The Evans Decoy Co. was located in Ladysmith, WI and it dates back as far as the '20's. Needless to say, I am very grateful.

Nice! I have a half dozen modern ones. Just a little story here. One of my friends found 3 really old wood decoys in a dried up pond some years ago. As near as we could figure, they had probably been there for over 30 yrs.
