starting a new collection ,Bottles

Me and Matt decided to investigate an old town site where we live.loggers recently cleared this site and we were lookin for arrowheads at first. Noticing all the broken glass we started picking through it and come up with this stuff in about 30 min. anyone with a little knowledge on age and types of use for the bottle any info would be appreciated..I was thinking some type of medicine but i really have no idea..

Looks like turn of the century stuff, about 1900. The bottle may be an olive oil bottle. If you can get in there with a shovel and screen, you could have some fun!

Cool stuff! Looks like you are on an old dump site. If it were around here, they dumped stuff down ravines. I agree with DW on the age and I really like the porcelain leg. I have picked up a bunch of them, Ray

irishman254, cool collection. If you can date any tiny bottles to 1600-1800, you might want to google "laudanum". It was an opium based medicine, infused into alcohol. I think I even looked at laudanum bottles on ebay once, some even had the labels still attached.

I have over 100 bottles from Ohio ravines. From handblown beer bottles to raised letter Cokes. Here are a few blue glass examples.
