hey John G late 1800's dig
I dont know when the plantation house was built, I do know It was called "Valleymont"
the home of Dr Hawes Netherland Coleman b. 22 Aug 1788, ......anyhow the house burned to the ground in 1905 and the cellar was bulldozed in , the whole area has been dozed, in the 1950's my Grandpaw had an apple and peach orchard up here. Those trees never did much he said , so he had a man bulldoze the trees up and push them over a steep bank. now, I'm thinking there could have been alot of native artifacts in those dirt/root balls on those trees ?? I been wanting to go over there and dig some test holes and look around everthing you see here ,except the pig was found 6' below yard grade level at my house , first I hit ashes with burned up stuff, then i made it all the way to the cellar brick floor, a nicely laid floor. I have only uncovered a small amount of space, about 8sqft, as it is digging in a tight spot and the dirt has to carried out of a 40" crawl space in 5gal buckets . I am confident there is GOLD down there somewhere, seeing as how in 1905 $5,$10 and $20 gold coins(indian head & double eagles) were literally pocket change for rich folks ...like Doctors .i dont know if a metal detector will work as there are lots of nails

the bottle says something like
household #10 Liquid Ginger 1oz Gilbert Bros & Co Baltimore MD the pig was found over the hill on the very old overgrown road I was making a trail for my kids motorcycle, there were lots of bottles mostly wine , but some older cooler ones too . One of them was real cool , my uncle said it was a beer bottle , so i tossed it , but I thought it was a medicine bottle cause the top was thick and very well finished ..like apothocaryish.........please take in to account...I'm a total rookie. later Dan ps the bone(top right ) came out of the garden , and i dont know what it is ..............but....ya gotta figure in........this was the home and office of a Doc that worked before and during the civil war era......so... ?? dude, that bone piece is cool can you post a few more pics of it? This is soe pics of bone pins we find down here in Fl. in the rivers or wet site, they were made from the frontn leg of the deer, the cannon leg bone, and I also found the joint end and it shows the score marks or cut marks on it

That's some cool stuff.I bet there's some killer bottles somewhere close to you.It would be nice if you could find some of the slave tags. Some of them go for astronomical amounts of money.
