German watch fob?

Heres is what my great grandfather brought back from Germany in WWII. I was told that the Husar reg. was a special force in the German army in WWI. or could it just be a last name? Can anyone give me more info about this? thanks Phil

I don't know anything about watch fobs, but I do love military history.

The Hussar Regiments are basically what we call the calvary. Hussar (with two SS) is the English spelling and primarily from the UK, India and other Commonwealth countries, Husar (with one S) could from any number of countries Spanish, German, Hungarian, Serbian, Swedish, Polish, etc.
