colima artifacts

these artifacts are from the country of columbia and are from my friends father in laws farm and i thought i would share them with the community . The first one is a jadeite celt the second is a highly engraved spindal whorl and the thrid is the most beautiful frog effigy pot i have ever seen !!! these were gifted to me a couple of years back and i thought joshua might like to see them since you are in south america right now. enjoy !!!

oh yeah these were aquired way before the antiquties law was in place he says you play hell getting stuff out of there now !!

Always love seeing nice relics! Those are three very nice pieces.

The Calima lasted from 500 ad or so, right through the Spanish colonization. They also used a lot of gold, your friends in-laws farm would probably be a fun place to metal detect!

yes it would !!! i thought you might like those thats why i posted them, we are going to travel there next year i cannot wait to do some hunting on their place. he has a brand new detector ready to go !! he says i wont wanna come home after i get there !!!

it was used in the manufacture of woolen products it is called a spindal whorl.
