Awesome job Neo! Very well done . Did you carve or dremel the design?

I did one today... Cutting the hafting area into the handle took me a nice hunk of time. Hacksaw to cut the initial slit (it kind of acts as a rule/guide) then dremeled into it to get the bulk of it out, then used a file to finish it.

I have done that..Stinks huh...har..But I used flakes for the whole thing, cutting the tine and engraveing, and a limestone rock to smooth.

Wow, so what was the total hours spent so far?

Also, is it socketed? I don't see a groove in the pics?

Hard to say how long..I think making the tools took longer then etching. So overall....mayhaps 4 or 5 hours....But I had to give it time to soak, and working with flakes is hard on the fingers..No cuts they just like bruise ..

I havent cut the socket yet...I haven't decided which blade to use yet,and it needs a soak...

I am glad you did, we can learn together. Next step for me is making some pitch... then the hard part, learning to knap.
