Indian Grinding Rock State Park Ca

Chaw'Se state park traditional style hun'ge / Round house There are numerous round houses still in use threw out California . The Miwok People have several ceremonies each year at chaw'se they have a acorn harvest Big time in September public invited. It takes you back to a different time to watch the ceremonies and different dance groups from all over California inside the round house with the only light coming from the fire pit. 1,185 mortar holes This is a short beautiful drive from home near volcano Amador co . Near Pinegrove above Jackson Ca .

is this the Skyrocket site Dennis????

I'd go nuts photographing the bedrock mortars there..

a Must visit for me no doubt..

I only know it as chaw'se / Grinding stone state park they have a nice little musem also.

Next, you will have to go to the Maidu indian museum in Roseville ca. It is practically in my back yard. There are at least 100 bedrock mortars there. Some harder to find than others. Petroglyphs also!

Dennis, do you have any luck finding points here in Ca? I don't have much luck like everyone back East does. I find more mortar sites than anything.

I was at the Roseville park last summer interesting site . Yes I find a few points check my posts from Apple Hill Camino ca .
