A Work of Art

The late Mark Condran of Florida made this piece for my Dad. It's a mahogany obisidian blade but the real artwork is the detail on the handle. Mark transformed an antler of a red stag into an amazingly detailed turkey. I'll try to get better pics next time I see it but for now, this is the only image I have. Each feather is carefully carved and etched as well. A great work of art.

Very nice. I appreciate things like this more and more as mass production has nearly wiped the craftsman and artisan out of existance. Wonderful detail. Thanks for sharing.
