I use a bow and arrow method. What you don't see in the utube is the downward pressure needed to make smoke. When you use a bow you get the downward pressure with your chin; the top of the arrow, rounded with saliva for lubrication spins freely in the chin piece.

I also put the fodder next to the arrow and one quick breath of air usually ignites the flame.

I can get fire in half the time that fellow did.

They ought to teach this in school. Lots of people die because they can't make fire. Shoestrings, bra strap, a twisted shirt, a belt, all work great.
