Giant Side Notch On our CNC

Jeff's idea...Thought it would be fun to make something different to hang in the artifact room.

This is 3cm Soapstone for a trial as it's very easy to work. It is scored for the final step " knapping" with a chisel to give it a flaked look.. We'll see by the end of the day what becomes of it

Now if we can find a big slab of Obsidian!

Looks just like a broke one I found last weekend. Mine is a hair smaller though.

That's just the second one of those types of side notchers I've seen. Too big to be an arrowpoint and too small to be a dart point. Not to mention the extremely long ears. I bet your piece and this one came from the same area, maybe even the same valley.

Well Trask, this clearly is gonna be a spear point.....or.....are you gonna reproduce the worlds largest bow and arrow?......Monty Python comes to mind.....that's pretty cool!!!

We've always done goofy stuff just for the sake of doing it regardless of the work load...But yes we are slow
