Hello from a new member! Any other knappers here?

Just wanted to introduce myself to those on here that I haven't met. I have been a lurker here for a while and a regular member of several other artifact boards over the years. Never registered here until this week.

I came to be interested in artifacts after I began flintknapping in 1989. I member of the local rock and mineral club taught me the basics and its been a fun hobby since. I now have a decent personally found collection from my home state of Iowa and am mainly interested in the lithics and technology of artifacts and their manufacture.

Any other knappers on here? We knappers tend to get a bad rap from collectors who don't undertand how much there is to learn about their collection. A good knapper can tell you more about a point than anyone else. I have sold exactly two points out of the thousands I have made. They were made of crazy Brazillian agate and marked with a diamond scribe. I do not like or condone knappers that sell for any reason other than modern art.

Hope there are others here interested in knapping!

A few paleos

A few smaller points

Couple more

Killed a deer with this Clovis (on an arrow from a selfbow.......yes I know they weren't used on arrows). Wonder how long its been since someone actually used one in Iowa?

Nice to meet you all!

Welcome from North Texas. Very fine knapping and I like the fact you inscribe the diamond scribe.
