1-7-12 Big water with willybee

Went out saturday with Willybee to enjoy the warm weather and hunt some pointy rocks. We hit the big water about 11:00 AM and the day was allready sunny and warm. We started walking the gravelbar and picking up flint right away. The water level was down and it was easy to find the fresh flintline where the waters edge normally was. I found the first complete point on the gravel. It had a worked down tip and a sweet little concave base. We moved along finding some brokes and random tools. Willybee found a real nice bi-face blade that I didnt get a pic of and a few more brokes throughout the afternoon. My best find was a (turtle shell scraper) It was in a tear drop shape with micro flaking all around and a sweet patina to boot. A very nice quality aftifact that I will be happy to put in my A frame. We had a good time and hunted some new ground. Hope ya enjoy.

Good stuff fellows. I'd take a scraper like that one anyday over a point. Nice haul.
