Sonora Add - Ons

Three recent aquisitions. An Elk River with some killer flaking, an early drill form, maybe a Wheeler, and a blade that appears to have been covered with red ochre.

Thanks buddy. I consider that blade / square knife I got from you awhile back to be one of my favorite pieces of Sonora. Let me know if you run across some more.

Those three grouped alone would make for a great frame. Congrats on acquiring three very high quality pieces of the same impressive material.

The main source of Sonora is in Hart and Hardin counties in central Kentucky.

Appreciate the feedback gents.

Very nice Ryan, that blade w/ the ochre, looks just like one from the Red Ochre Culture: Known for covering their burials and associated artifacts with Red Ochre.
( I found a small one I believe may also be from them)
