First find of the year, and a purchase

Well, Friday afternoon I checked out a newly logged area along a small local creek. I've found several artifacts in the fields along this swamp, so I thought I'd check out the logged area. Despite almost no rain whatsoever, I was lucky enough to stumble across this rough little quartzite point. I'm thinking it's a Savannah River. There appears to be some damage to the higher shoulder.
The second pic is a few points I picked up at the Camden artifact show on saturday. A guy had them for sale 6 for 5 dollars, so I figured why not pick up a few. All field grade points (and actually quite a nice scraper), but hey, they are now my field grade points.

Very nice Kevin. Nice looking find and I'm sure after some rain there will be more for the taking. Also, 6 pieces for $5, you just can't beat that.

Congrats on the 1st find of 2012, and the good deal on the others! I would buy local stuff like that, and at that price all day long.

That's a good run of artifacts for most likely way less than the gas money it would take someone to find them for their own self.
