First hunt of the year=Fisrt find of the year!

Went on my first dig today! And found my first piece of pottery! Dug all day with not too much more to show for the amount of dirt we moved. Then we went to walk out............................................... ....What is it?

That is one beautiful Evans. Congratulations. I wish the people at home could see the detail in the edge work on that bad boy.

that's pretty good..

how you found it reminds me of some reports where the folks go out hunting any area, don't find too much.. yet back at the Auto, they find the Prize nearly at the car door.....

Goes to show you just never know. Good job at staying alert to the possibility. Looks like a very nice example for the style.

Killer Evans point. I've only ever found one of those, but I have handled quite a few in purchased collections. Very nice artifacts.

Thanks for the input guys. The place we found it was Eagles spot. Thanks Eagle for my first dig. There will be many more. Eagle and I figured it was an Evans, but wanted more opinions. It has to be my best point to date. This point combined with my first piece of pottery, AMAZING day!
