Another killer

No matter how good of a hunter you are sometimes you just need to get lucky. I definitely got lucky yesterday. I'm not sure what this material is. It might be rhyolite. The other two points are more typical of the materials I usually come across in that area. The stemmed point has the look of a little Scotty, but it's much more likely a Borax Lake Widestem. Even though I was out of it's supposed range.

Another killer for sure. The stripe in the first pic kind of reminds me of a setting sun in that first pic. Did you find it close to sunset by chance? Another fantastic find for you Floyd. That most certainly was a hunt to remember.

Found it a little before noon. I'm wondering if same guy might of made this one and the striped one. It's unusual to find two made from wild material that close together, especially with an obsidian source not too far away.

arrow - Sounds like a fairly reasonable theory on the same knapper issue. Also maybe because one can see some possible shared style aspects going on between the two killer points. Those are all going to look my-t-fine in your next frame, that is for certain.

We're not to far from the Christmas season, after seeing the two striped ones, makes me wonder, maybe Christmas has been around longer than we think!! Incredible material!!!
