debitage hunt

hi all.with all the snow i am stsrting to look through the 30 lbs of debitage i took home from this summers hunts. the cool part is i did not even know i had these,lol. in pic 2 that peace is 4/12 in. long and i would say only half of its there and its also missing the tip. that bad boy was big. i would say it was used to keep people out of town lol.

Hi Eddie,
Nice looking debitage hunt! Those are some nice finds from debitage. I recently did the same thing and it's amazing the pieces I overlooked the first time. I guess I learned a lot over the summer in identifying pieces, but some of them I should have noticed. Nice to see I'm not the only one who misses a few after a hunt. That's one of the reasons we bring every piece of flint home we find. Thanks for sharing!

Good to know I'm not the only one who has done that. I found a whole side notched base I overlooked, haha. Very nice pieces, not too shabby for not even leaving the house!

That's a good idea to save it up and go thru it all when your snowed in.
Looks like some of the preforms that I collected last week. Hope you get some warm weather so you can get back out there on the hunt soon.
