Is it paleo?

I found this one today. It was just barely sticking out of a gravel bar. I didn't expect it to be anything when I poked at it and out popped this little beauty. It looks like obsidian, but Im not positive. Im newish to the hobby and am pretty good at finding, but not so great yet at typology. It looks similar to some of the paleo types in my overstreet guide for my area (Oklahoma). It definately made me gasp when it unexpectedly popped out. Either way, I love it. Thanks for looking, and for any advise on the type.

Looks like an Aux Arc to me. If it is, it is late archaic. Great looking point. Hard to say on the material, not obsidian though. These points are named for the big bend in the Arkansas River over in Arkansas. If it came from over that way, it could be Pitkin chert, which is black.
Congrats.

Yes what Kevin sez,,,,also being that glossy it could be high grade Pitkin or Fayettville chert.

Thanks for the help on material and type. I know my pics aren't great, I'm a novice at photography too (if you didn't notice). Heres a couple more pics.

Nice find ARB! Yesterday all I found was three chips, one broke, one old bottle, and two glass salad dressing bottle stoppers!
