Nice blade found along the Illinois River

The river dropped about 2 foot over night and I was the first to walk the river bank. I could see tracks about 4 foot above the water line where someone had walked the day before. I sure was surprised to catch a glimpse of flint about a foot up on the bank. I had my phone with me so i figured that I would try to get a good picture of a find.. I've tried this many times before only to be disappointed with a broken point or just a large flake of flint.
This time it paid off as you can see. The camp site is a popular fishing area and many use it. The first photo shows a bobby pin on top of the blade. After I took the first photo I used it to clean much of the mud off. got a hand full of water to wash it off in place and took the other photos.
The blade is 5 11/16" long X 1 3/4" wide X 3/8" thick (144.9 X 44.6 X36 mm)
Good color while wet, slight twist and it shows it has bevel on the top 3/4 of one side of the blade.
The site is predominately Woodland with some Mississippian. I have found many points and pottery shards along this stretch of river as well as signs of fire pits. This is by far the BEST.

Congrats on that nice big blade. Sweet piece of material. Do you find any Adena stuff at that spot?
