1/22/12 Got to do a little digging.

I took my little boy out this evening to do a little digging. We were only there for a couple of hours. I spent the first hour just moving dirt to get ready for some good digging. As soon as I started I turned up my 1st find, a heart breaker Dalton. Serrated edges and translucent material like i have never found before. Man i wish it was all there.

Then I did a little more digging and turned up this Gary. This was my last find for the day. I' get a 3 day weekend this week, I'm going to hit it hard, and mabey I can turn up some more of that old stuff.

Yep. My finds have slowed down in the upper layers, but are still going down deep. You can look at the site and see where some of the hot spots might be for the Woodland period, but as far as the old stuff, it just takes a whole bunch of digging and a little luck.

I've got a question that mabey some of the experts on here can help me with. I have been finding several Dalton point and pieces on my place, but I was wondering what other points are associated with Daltons? I'm just wondering what other point types i could hope to find on my place thanks for any help.

just cause its slowed down doesn't mean that it wont pick back up in a big way. hang in there, patience persevrence and penetrating oil, sometimes bailing wire and duct tape.

I am not sure where Pittsburgh is located but in West Louisiana you could find San Patrice, Pelicans, and just maybe a Scottsbluff. Good Luck.
