Today's Surface Hunt 1-23-12

It's been raining for a couple of days and quit about 2 pm today about 3 inches worth so I took a ride out to a camp I call Tilly's Hill and found a couple of points and some tools low clouds or fog rolled in and ended my fun for today. One side notched slate and a stemmed basalt point and maybe two drill perforator type tools anyway here's my days finds .

Now that I have the time to hunt a few spots . But driving around I pass so many old camps that now have homes on them if I could have hunted them 40 years ago my walls would be covered but my hunts were limited to a day now and then all my time lately has been at apple hill most likely a once in a lifetime chance to work a large camp . And when it rains I hunt the same spots that have been producing for years if I could only screen them I'm working on it maybe it will happen . I'm still hunting a twenty mile radius of home and on occasion a road trip .

Yeah it's always some kind of road trip for me since nothing is close. I lived in the Bay Area for 16 years with a grandmother is Grass Valley for 24 years and if I'd known about the artifacts in the area it would have given me something else to do.
