the great red spot

went on a boat ride to one of my favorite camps about 1 pm. 2 feet of water covers this indian camp now, and even with waders its COLD walking in 38 degree water.

found a real nice pink point within 15 minutes of being on site. it was only exposed edge-wise and i figured it was just a flake, but was shocked to find ANOTHER red spot point:

last time i was here (5 weeks ago) i found that red spot dickson-and now this red spot side notch point just a few feet away.

must be some anomaly in the local chert around here-
pulled out two more in the next hour-one huge preform

and this resharpened knife

not bad for a half day hunt. only 2 good points in six hunts this year, but if it was easy everyone would do it.
here are both red spot points from this camp:

the one from today is translucent also:

one of my buddies found this broken drill recently on a bulldozered hillside near the river:

real heartbreaker-fresh broke.

happy hunting,

willy
