2/1/12 Digging My New Hole Works Out

Omy site I dig, I have been working in the same hole for over a year. With the recent rains we have had, my hole has filled up like a swimming pool. Since the hole is dug down to clay, the water has no place to go. So Sunday when I went for a dig I started a new hole. It turned up a nice Gary point and a Dalton. So I went back yesterday and started where I left off. After over an hour of digging, I didn't turn up anything. So I turned around and started digging in a different direction and started finding stuff. I ended up with 1 really nice 2 tone point, a couple of points missing little pieces, a heart breaker tip, and the middle section of an old point. It was deep, has old flaking, and is heavily ground about half way up. Enjoy the pictures. Hope my luck continues in my new hole.

That is a lot of extra work. This site is about 2 1/2 miles out on our property in the middle of the woods. I have a couple of pretty big holes Dow. there. I usually dig my big hole, then start back filling it as I go along. But I can go back to my same hole and continue digging.
