4 Beads and a Beaver Tooth

Haven't seen a large bead like this in my area so it was a thrill for me to find it rolling around in the gravel...The beaver tooth is the 4th I've found in this site and they were frequently used by the Coastal Indians here for wood carving.

I like those finds. I don't find beads [well a 2 inch round rock w/ a hole in it] and don't find many teeth, certainly not beaver teeth. Poor beavers would be out of luck in 2/3 of Texas.
Love the bead and it's shape is unique. Good going. Can you guess an age on the turq bead?

Lately with rain finally, I've been bending closer to the ground and finding nice flint. After about 20 min. I think Trask has a point. Easier to be 'on the ground'
Just too many rocks and cactus.

Good looking finds Trask. I've found a few Beaver Teeth on my Ft Ancient sites and some are worked and been used for something.

SoooWEET!

I think finding any kind of adornments are especially nice finds. There's something about finding things that go past things of necessity and to stuff that points to the actual personality of a human.

Must have been thrilling to find!

Pretty good! I don't think I've seen a bead like the blue one before.

Great day! I have a bead that looks almost exactly like that. Same color and everything. For the life of me I can't remember where I found it.
I found it years ago.

You just tell me where you laid it in the gravel and it's yours

Hey Trask

Hey Trask what material do you think that turquise colored bead is made of. I think the one I have is glass maybe.
