My New LittleDalton Find

I've been digging in a new spot on my site the last few times. I done pretty good there last time. Well I went Sunday before the Super Bowl. I moved a whole bunch of dirt and didnt find a whole lot. I got a couple little brokes, a couple of scrappers, and then this exhausted Dalton. Man o man, I wish it was 1st stage, I know it would of been over twice as long. I have found 4 Daltons and only 1 Gary in this new spot. That is an oddity for this area. I'm going to move over and start in a new soot on my next dig.

Chris

PS: Is this a drill? I really don't think it is, the point is sharp, I figured a drill would be more rounded. Thanks in advance for the information.

Call me crazy but it almost looks like a "Dalton spokeshave" if there is such a thing. If not, it could just be beveled that way. Cool find!

Sounds like this could be a great spot for you.No Daltons here so consider yourself lucky!
Your little point makes for a Great Example of an Exhausted point as opposed to a drill or perforator. Could they have been used as such ? ,,,,sure but probably not if there is no sign of use-Ware//jmo
Good find and continued good luck

I thought about that too. Because where the notch is, has been used and almost feels ground. It is a lot more dull in that area then the other spots. The base is also super heavily ground.
