Todays Apple Hill Dig 2-6-12

The points were far apart today. Artifact Jack did OK. I spent most of the day digging test holes trying decide which direction to dig. I found a couple of bird points and a slate but my best find of the day was a piece of soap stone with a little design work on it . Here's Jacks finds first and my finds with a clean up.

I think that is the worst day y'all have ever had at Apple Hill. Haha. That soap stone thing is super cool. That is 1 of the coolest things I have seen in a long time.

I bet you can't believe you're still able to dig there in February! I hope to see you find stuff there all winter long.

We all have our slow days. Good to get that one out of the way. I'd be willing to bet you'll be back in the swing of things very soon. But then again, the soapstone was a very worthwhile find all by itself. A find like that really gets the mind to wandering and wondering.

Dang Dennis, you actually have a slow day to compare with ALL those day after day of beautiful Gunthers. Cool piece of soapstone, looks like a bowl shard they were doing something with.

Actually when we started most days were slow like surface hunting . A two or three point day was great. But now were spoiled and when it slows to a normal day we get depressed.

Dennis I always look forward to your guy's consistency..Even the "slow days" produce..Amazing. I can't tell you how many empty handed days I have between the good ones

You must be getting pretty fit with all that work..to hell with the gym..a shovel is primitive and effective
