Almost Perfect Drill

Went to the creek today after some well needed rain. Found this almost prefect drill in a small hole on a bend of the creek I hadn't checked. On the way back to the truck I decided to walk in the water looking upstream. Thanked God that I decided to walk the water more since I was already suffering with my right foot being soaked. My boot is leaking and tried a fix that worked for the first half of the day then.... soaked foot. When I saw the drill the wet foot didn't matter anymore!! Any suggestions on type or period???

Nice Drill,,,Hard to tell if this was made from a specific type,,Whatever you have been finding in association with it will give you an idea of age///jmo

That thing is awesome. Ur lucky you saw it in the water like that. Drills like that are cool as hayul considering they survived the ravages of time the way they did.
