sat. 2/4/12

got out and found some goodys. two broke and a full point and a full pipe .you could still use. does any one know anything about the trade pipes. i have another pipe i found in a creek about fifty mi. from where i found this one .

Sweet finds! Love the pipe! I have one similar I found in a creek/dump...

Going by the age of bottles I found, I guess mine to be around 1890-1910 or so...

Trade pipes were made by the thousands during colonial times. A lot of them were made in Virginia. They were trade goods for the indians. I have one just like the one that you found, personal find from a site here in Texas.

Your pipe was more than likely made in Point Pleasant, Ohio. They were made from the mid to late 1800's. It is doubtful it ever saw an Indian but is still a very nice find.
