Possible butterfly bannerstone preform?

I just found a piece of banded slate that shows obvious signs of being worked to a tapered point all along the entire edge of the piece. I decided to keep it thinking it was a tool used for chopping but then realized it has the symmetrical shape of a butterfly bannerstone. Just wanted to get other opinions on this one. If not a preform could it be a hoe?

You guys grow a lot of 'em up there and the material is right so I'd say a banner preform is not out of the question.

It looks like classic butterfly preform. Does it have a thicker spot in the middle?

Yes, the thickest spot is near the middle and then tapers off on the edges, thanks.
