Question Id help please! East texas point!

I tried a new area of the drought-stricken Cedar Creek Lake or Cedar Creek Lake Bed, rather! The lake is almost 40 ft. low......it appears surreal as I walk and drive through the lakebed where 2 years ago I motored through 12-15 ft of water in my duck hunting boat on my way to the duck hole. There is plenty of silt sand and thick vegitation, and even small trees growing everywhere. Where the water evacuated silt-sand, ancient rocks, flint flakes, points and tools are in-situ as the natural excavation left them for me. It is much like the desert artifact surface hunting only the water has moved the sand instead of wind.

I only had a short time to look, but I found two awesome Manos, thousands of flint flakes and this one point. I think it may be a sharpened down Pelican or variant. It has light grinding so I doubt it is an arrowpoint. The material is that crude granite-like stone that is obviously not the most efficient lithic for knapping.

Please give me any opinions about what this little dart may be.

Additionally, I think it is older because I have a hunch that it was made prior to the time when so much flint trading or importation took place. for there to be so many consentrated "alien" flint flakes around, surely no ancient would choose the sorry material for an arrowhead over the abundant variety of lithic literally everywhere. I found multiple flakes of every type of chert, flint, cobble......etc. that I know comes from Texas or Oklahoma. Plus many more I dont have a clue on.

Its very intriguing and I cant wait to see what I find after a little grubbing around. I am going back today to try in ernest!

Thanks for your opinions on this little mystery dart!!
