Pretty sure you're kidding around - right? But I guess that it is as you say in it's current form and the angle being held. Sorry, but I'm not telling you that it 'isn't' lol

And ya, their had to be some real intellects back in those days as well. I mean for instance, the whole atlatl system had to come about through some form of genius I would suppose, considering the state of the technology of the day.

thanks questor, of course it was a joke lol i just stumbled on it and was amused , and hoped to pass on the amusement, lol i have no sense of humor i guess, your the only person out of 75 looks that even bothered to ask if i was joking, the atlatl was definitely genius, i have mine i made and have been looking for a new one everytime i cut back my trees, my first was to stiff, need to find a branch with some spring to it , i can see where the atlatl weight would come into play , another stroke of genius , springy branches are thin and light, ad weight, springy heavy branches = distance,
