Artifact or what? Please help

Found this on top of a hill near a wet weather creek bottom in Lampasas County, Texas. Any idea what it is? Is it a natural formation or manmade?

I wonder how it's made naturally. Bottom half buried and top half exposed to running water?

It's a natural formation. I have seen a few just like that from my area. Thay are formed by a softer material eroding away and leaving the harder material behind.
