Yep, the location, material and workmanship are typical for a cache. If you don't have a bottle probe and piece of thin rebar will work as a probe since those caches typically aren't very deep.
Just poke around every few inches feeling for a hard sound (best way I can describe a probe hitting flint.). The plow can move them quite a distance from the original spot, so you should check a pretty decent sized area before giving up. |
