Variety Identification help please
These are finds from W. Tx. The Musket ball came from a creek gravel deposit. Most are from the same creek, but some are from a plowed field, and a road bed.

Look like finishing flakes - several of them are from alibates flint. Keep looking - there will be some nice points in that area.

I have high hopes for the creek, getting a wiggle pick for xmas.
I think the curved purple flake has use wear on both edges. How about the quartzite piece? I will post better pics in the daylight if anyone wants a better look. |

Third pic, the purplish one... definately a utilized cutting tool. I can see it clearly even on an iPod screen.
