drilled stone?
I found this in our winter wheat field today and not sure what it is. It appears to be a stone that was perhaps drilled out and has broken, and this what is left of it. Note the groves in the 2nd photo. Not sure what it was used for?

either a unfinished tube bannerstone or pipe, but i'm leaning toward banner.

I would have to agree that it's either a broken bannerstone or pipe and with a diameter about the same as a quarter you can see why it's broken. Nice find regardless.
