Celt / Axe ?
This is the first Celt ? hand axe That I have found off a hill top camp here in kelsey ca. This type of tool is rare in my area. Fine grained granite or diorite made from a water worn cobble 5 1/2" inches long by 4" wide and 1" thick. What do you think about the flat end natural or ground ? Surface find near a dozer cut fire line. I'm fairly sure it was a utilized tool I have found a bucket load of artifacts off this site over the last 30 years.

Looks like it could be, has a bit end. Not familiar with western stone.
