Hafted end scraper?
Found this in a creek earlier this year, when asked I've been calling it an old stone tool. Hoping to give this piece a new title, any opinions welcome. Found in N.W. Virginia, material is Jasper. Thanks for any help.

Creekwalker, I think hafted scraper is as close as you can get. But love the gorgeous jasper. Nice tool to add to a collection..

It almost has a dalton adze-ish look to it.

Ditto - adze.
I don't see any signs of hafting. |

Another possibility besides adze ( which I think is likely ) would be a humpback knife imo. I find them somewhat frequently down here and I believe they are late archaic culture. Nice looking Va. jasper piece.

I'm not familiar with artifacts from your area and can only comment on how the bit morphology resembles an EarlyArchaic tool form in central Texas called a Guadalupe Biface. The time periods may be different but the function must have been similar.
