Chumash scraper?

Found in santa barbara, CA county. I think its monterey chert rock. It has some finger grooves so it fits nicely hand held between thumb, index and middle fingers. Maybe a handheld scraper? So interesting!

Ya Santa Barbara the city is pretty populated but is surrounded by a lot of farms, orchards and state parks. Lots of old Indian cites that haven't been built on. The Chumash were pretty wide spread. I'm no expert but seems like a lot of open land to me! You can probably find an ariel shot on google . Thanks!

Don't discount the "made to fit the hand" notion. And without grinding.

"Ergonomics" was not a late 20th-century discovery with no precedent.

My 2 cents.
