A Tussinger???
Hi... Picked this big guy up in 2008 when a tourist trap in Central Texas was being liquidated... I'm sure it's a knapped piece, but I'm also pretty sure it's an 'old' knapped piece, and was just wondering if this guy might be a Tussinger piece... I don't know what it's made of either, and don't know enough about the lighter colored flints to hazzard a guess... It's almost 12" long and doesn't look like it's made from a slab... All-in-all, it's a gorgeous piece... If any of you can shed some light on the piece, I'd sure appreciate it...

Doesn't look Tussinger to me - he usually tricked his out with all sorts of fancy extra notches, barbs, and serrations. Doesn't look like a classic "grey ghost" either - it's Flintridge instead of Edwards. Cool piece!

Thought it might be Flintridge, but wasn't sure... Tussinger also did a lot of 'gray ghost' types, along with his famous eccentrics... Whoever did this one was equally capable...
My brother asked the question relative to one of his old acquisitions and just got me wondering.... Thought I'd float it out there and see where it landed... Here's a lousy pic of my brother's point (only one I have)... about 11"... |
