Unfinished Celt?

Found this in a plowed field. It seems to have a well defined bit, but the back end looks completely untouched. Maybe unfinished? By the way, if it is a celt it is the fiirst hardstone artifact I have ever found. If it isn't, it is one of a handful that I have thought might be an artifact but wasn't.

Looks like a finished celt to me.The owner might have only been cutting and not hammering or busting anything.

Yep, That's a celt, sometimes they didn't finish the back...afterall the working edge is all they really needed to do the job.
Sweet find.

Smile Awesome!

I am extremely happy to finally find a piece of hardstone artifact. It has been something I have dreamed about finding since I began researching artifacts over 5 years ago. Next up, a 3/4 or full groove axe, bannerstone, or a birdstone! I appreciate all the help identifying the piece. Happy hunting!
