Hole in the rock

As the standard phrase goes in this forum "I'm not really sure this is anything, but..."
I've seen rocks on this site with holes in them, either drilled or natural. I'm just not sure if it's a cool looking rock or some sort of artifact. Sometimes I feel like that hole is in my head for trying to WILL a certain rock to be a point or artifact!

My guess would be that it is a natural formation in that rock.
It appears to have pseudofossils and a nice patina.
I believe the patina would be slightly different if it were a man made grove and there wouldn't be that hook on the grove lip.
Good for the box of fossils though.

Now if you found it digging a camp than you might have some better reason to believe it may have been an artifact. Where was it found?(without giving away your hunting spot, ie creek bed, dig spot, ect.)
