Just a flake?

Found this today while digging in a pile of dirt created from building our driveway. I'ts Jasper, about 2" long, seems a little big for a waste flake. Any thoughts? The second piece was found in the same dirt pile last year, not sure what to think about this either, maybe a knife? Any input would be great. Thanks.

1st one is a blade scraper. And at the risk of generalizing, looks quite paleo...

Nice flake tools. I agree with Mojave on the first. I'd have a hard time not digging up a good sized " garden " looking for associated points. Possibly a campsite in connection with the Thunderbird guys. Jmo considering your location.

Very cool! Thanks for the help guys. Ryan, we already have one garden that produces some Archaic points and tools, the dirt pile this came from is big, may need help trying to sift through it. Thanks again for the input.

Both are clearly tools on reduction flakes. First one's apparently an overshot. VERY nice finds !

Thanks for the help guys. I've heard of an overshot flake, but not sure what that means yet. Thanks again.
