What type of material?
I found this rock digging. I have not found any other rocks made of the same material. The material hard. It makes a great paper weight.

looks like a nice pecking stone/small scraper. somebody will give you a good ID on the type of stone, you can bet on it.

Keith, can you show some more pictures of that piece? That second picture looks like it could be a possible Loafstone.

Here are some more pics. 1-paper weight configuration, 2-Top, 3-bottom side view. The smooth marks are near the top on opposite sides. The stone is hard with small flakes of quartz. Thanks. Keith.

I've got this one I found at the Goldcalp Site in Lawrence county and I think yours was the beginning of one. Mine is flat on the bottom as well.

Nice stone. The material on that one is what I see a lot of axes made from? I will try to make it to the Ripley show. I want to see that clovis! Thanks for the pics and replies.
