i think your little grinding pots could also have been used as nutting stones..i have lots of small ones (and some larger ones)..the trouble with id'ing stone tools here in oregon is that they've been exposed to so much water that it smoothes out almost all traces of being worked..i also agree with uniface that there's many tools that we have no idea of what they were used for!

Thanks Leslie, I think you are right. And yes Im sure that there are more unknown tools than known ones.
