Guilford Axe or Notched Hoe?

Any opinions on this hardstone piece. Personal find from southeast Wv.

Hmm tough one, I'd say Guilford Axe, but I'm no expert

Yeah, pretty close to both I think. There's not much polish on that coarse bit.

If there is limited to no polish on the bit them I doubt it was a hoe or at least one that wasn't used very much. All of the Stone Hoes that I have are very polished at the bit area from extensive usage.
